Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

Profile? What? How many followers he has? I think the players will be far more concerned about his actual ability. A lot might look at him and think he isn't all that in training. Ndiaye in particular. They never would have thought that about J.Rod. Grealish reputation far exceeds his ability and what he has achieved. Never been a key player for England or City. Had good seasons at an average Villa team. I'd argue prime Arteta was a much better player but he was never thought about as being absolutely elite.
They might. Or they might think it's an ambitious move for a club that want to progress and they get to play alongside a player who is a champions league, Premier league winner and whose previous managers and team mates have praised for being humble and professional.

I doubt we can afford ยฃ300 grand per week in wages & city are demanding that has to be paid ....? but it is only media news ?
At some point city will either have to stick with that stance of you pay all his wages and be stuck with a lad thats not going to play but you have to keep paying him or city relent and get say 150k/wk off their books and he moves to someone prepared to pay the remainder. For me if he moves I'll be amazed if it's not in the last few days of the window.

Think you are missing the point kiddo.

Being if you want these top end players you have to be prepared to pay top end prices.
If you aren't don't pursue them.
City might be paying him ยฃ300 grand a week - that's their problem
But if he was ever worth that - he ain't now
He not a top player
He's just on top money - and us paying him top money won't make him any better

Don't get me wrong he's wasn't a bad player, just at any 'silly' price it's not worth it

I know what you're saying but if city were daft enough to pay him ยฃ300k/wk he's well within his rights to want that contract maintaining just because city want him out doesn't change his contract.

He's contracted to 300k a week. Legally he has to be paid that when going on loan.

He isn't changing contracts. Players don't drop wages when they go on loan, the loan team pays the wages at the end of the season in a lump sum.

City will have to pay him ยฃ300k every week next season unless they manage to sell him

I can't see us paying anything near that tbh.

But point stands ( Grealish or any other top player )
If you want top end players
Be prepared to pay top end.

Are they worth it...hell No.
But I gave up worrying about footballers wages many years ago.

But the narrative becomes "everton pushing to break the top 6 dominance", you've got the likes of Darren Bent on Talksport suddenly saying "oh what about Everton" as dark horses and you pretty much shift the entire conversation away from "relegation candidates" to "ambitious Everton".

Even better if he comes with a point to prove. Just look at all the attention Lingaard got at West Ham.

Sorry mate, donโ€™t agree.

Agree to differ! ;)
