Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all. It's not as bad today thankfully, I blasted it with painkillers when I got up so it's in the background now. That was a bad one.

Just waiting on my shopping, nothing else planned.

Catch up soon all have a good day.
Well managed T , step by step it seems the meds are working most of the time .Good luck with the delivery going by your track record !

Morning everyone,

Been a crap start to the week.

2 more false alarms with mum's fall alarm and then irony of ironies it didn't go off when she did fall. Even worse I was in the same room changing her bedding at the same time.

It all happened in slow motion, she just over balanced using her wheeler and I was too slow and couldn't catch her.

She reopened the wound on her shin which took months to heal last year. I've cleaned and dressed it but can I get an urgent district nurse visit ? Can I hell.....maybe Friday! GP won't do dressings..."what about going to A&E?" Are you mad, as if I m going to have her sat with the pissed dregs of society for 6 hours.

I'm so fed up. I can't provide a safe environment for mum , she doesn't / can't listen to advice and instructions and the onerous nature of looking after her is just too much .

I've contacted the local authority yet again to try to get her into a care home ....."we will get back to you for a re-assessment, she's on the amber list ".

Sorry rant over .
Hope today has been better for you and are nearer to getting the situation with Granny resolved.

Sorry to hear this Jazzy. We can just pray that things improve for your mum and yourself……

Things seem to be moving at pace on the transfers front and not before time. Grealish and Dibling would be another 2 excellent editions if they can indeed be secured. It’s a lovely thought that we could be enjoying a stress free season in our new home with some actual good progressive football to watch. I can’t wait to get back over again in a couple of weeks.

Morning everyone,

Thanks for all the kind granny wishes.

Getting exciting at BMD , they are even starting stadium tours in September 😂.

We normally get rectangular bales of hay for the goats and sheep. Not light but you can get a couple in the wheelbarrow and take them down to the animal pen which is at the bottom of the garden some way away.( @anjelikaferrett and @Val P know what I'm talking about about ).

However our local farmer told me they aren't doing that anymore but are doing 3ft high circular bales. " OK no problem can you deliver me one "

Came home to find a circular bale 5ft high and over 3ft in diameter.

It took 2 of us to push it onto it's side and roll it ( fortunately) downhill to the pen - only catch it it's not straight as we have a meandering grass path - it's the most fun we've had in years but we were knackered by the time we got it into the pen and secured it.

More visits from the District Nurse and Occupational therapist today so it isn't always fun at Jazzy Towers.

Have a lovely day everyone.

They’re currently harvesting the field behind our house, last year Mrsbl was most upset as they came out in rectangular bales. Our farming friend had told me that rectangular ones usually go to pigs, so she wasn’t happy and wanted the old “ round “ ones back. At the moment they’ve taken the barley off and just left the straw in the field awaiting the baler . Will it be round or rectangle? We live an exciting life , full of mystery , anticipation and unknowns up here 🙂
