Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

IF we can bring in Dibling, Grealish on loan, Luiz on loan and Justin I think we will have had a very good transfer window

Zero chance on Luiz if Grealish is in; wage structure would be shattered. But a midfield with Grealish at the 10, KDH at the 8 and Gana/Garner at the 6 would be more than formidable. With Skillman and Dibling on the wings and some productive output from Beto/Barry, you’re looking at the possibly the best attacking side in the last decade IMO

How can the window be a fail unless it's in the context of how we do at actual football?

I'm not calling it a success at all, that's what puzzles me.
Again based on what we were supposedly after and what we know/believe we need.

This is how I would judge the window up to 6th August.

All things could change, don’t get me wrong…. But we are leaving everything very late, spent far too much time waiting for our supposed main targets and should have attempted to be far more prepared for this season which starts in 9 days time.

I haven’t said you are calling a success…. You are the one quoting me and asking my opinions / thoughts.

Our Toyota overlords will find a way to get Luiz

Pay him in rubles

Because some people think it’s just a matter of coming up with a list of players and buying them all in the first week of the window. Anything less than that is a failure/incompetence.
