Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Nothing illustrates just how starved some Evertonians are from seeing an elite player playing for us then the reaction to Grealish possibly coming here from some is 'he's crap'- in the last 15-20 years the only player as talented that will have been brought to the club would be James.

And then you see blues talking about maybe McNeil can do a job for us etc.....

In fairness I think prime Dele was up their too, but was finished. That's always the risk when buying top players who are a bit older. Hopefully he still has that hunger

Could be that, or could be another player for one of the 3 spots behind the striker. Even if we sign Grealish and Dibling it would be 5 players for those 3 positions so technically still 1 player short.

Chermiti could do with a loan for sure but at the same time not convinced he's ever going to develop enough to make it here tbh. More time that passes the more that looks like an absolutely bizarre use of 15m by Kev and co at a time when money was extremely tight.
Chermiti a big no no

As time goes on, Gianni Balzarini's talk about Douglas Luiz gets more familiar. He still says Nottingham Forest are leading the race, but it nows sounds like the same basic situation as with Everton, where Juventus and the buying club just keep haggling over the obligation. Juventus want it to be tied to team performance, and Forest want it tied to individual performance.

He indicates that Everton is still involved, but with the signing of Dewsbury-Hall, I think it's done. I'm still not convinced Nottingham Forest is a serious buyer, and Juventus leadership must be fuming. It seemed that a deal with Everton was very close till Kia Joorabchian mucked things up by trying to use Forest as leverage for a better deal. I think Juventus are pot committed to protracted "negotiations" until a real buyer comes and "steals" the player Everton and Forest aren't really trying to sign.

Ideally Chermiti would have been loaned right away, but there was pressure to acquire a striker and it wouldn't have satisfied to buy one and send him away. He was always an odd choice because he came in as the consolation prize when El Bilal Touré, who snubbed us for Atalanta. Chermiti cost Everton almost a third what El Bilal Touré cost Atalanta, and he hasn't set the world on fire. Neither one was going to be an immediate impact player, but Chermiti could still do with a loan since he's still just 21. He seems so much stronger and more composed than when he came in.

Sorry mate , totally bored with this one now. Shame , he was just what we needed but we could never have afforded his wages anyway.
