He's been poor at City bar the treble season, but he was great at Villa. What's the point of football if you can't appreciate a player with his kind of talent?

….because I want effective footballers. The lad has quality but I don’t see him busting a gut to hit the box when the ball is on the other flank, getting in goalscoring positions and finishing in the 6 yard box. If I’m a striker, I’d find him frustrating to play alongside.

I watched him closely for Villa in his last game at Goodison and was so disappointed in his contribution. He’s just not for me but Moyes must have a plan for him if he genuinely wants him.

One of the most talented players the PL has ever seen.
If we get him he'll be up there with McKenzie, Kanchelskis and James for excitement and skill levels.
We won't even need seats when he gets the ball. He'll be an immediate superstar for us.
Find a way to get him Everton.

If you're after players who simply 'bust a gut', Jack Harrison might be more your type. That said, I’ve never watched Grealish play and thought, “he’s lazy.” cos he doesn't get in the 6 yard box In fact, I think he'd help open up space for others, like Ndiaye, who’s constantly getting doubled up on.

…ok, Matey ;)

To be fair, he has been stifled at city. Pep's just put him out wide and has him passing back more than forward. The last time I saw Grealish genuinely look impressive was for England, as a 10 in Carsley's side vs Ireland. As a creative 10, he is decent, and given that we already have two left wingers, I'd assume he'd be rotated with Alcaraz in the centre. I'm sure Moyes would make best use of his skills anyhow, whichever position that is.
Its not that long ago (Euros where we were runners up v Italy) when he was constantly on the bench for England despite him being brilliant at Villa, and lighting up England games whenever he came on. I remember a game away at Belgium (we lost 2-0 I think) post that Euros were he started and he was the best player on the pitch by miles. The fans loved him, the media loved him, but Southgate seemed strangely reluctant. He then went to Man City and bit by bit that maverick exciting player was shoved more and more into a straightjacket. You don't lose that ability and Grealish will end up being brilliant wherever he goes, simply because he'll be (hopefully) be given the freedom to do what he does best - which is attack opponents. He also can do the defensive side to - as he did at Villa and Man C.

Surprised Spurs are not all in after Maddison injury.
If he wants to go to the world cup he needs regular starts and decent displays. That looks the plus side.

Agree totally, people turning their noses up at Grealish genuinely baffle me.
