Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

*Shoulda been signed a month ago
*Need to get settled in the squad and match fit
*Still no depth, a couple of usual Everton injuries and we're back to where we were
*What about the loans
*The stadium still aint painted
*We've got players that never play still, we need to get rid
*The ticketing app aint working
*Ran out of crap beer in the bars round our seats
*The bridge/parking/buses/trains/weather - The aways get treated better than the home support etc

There's plenty to get the hordes going...
* Tunnel looks crap
* Don't like Bud
* Don't celebrate goals
*Bendy bus not painted blue

Kdh is the doucoure replacement is not the mangala type, can play in a two but is better in a 3 or more advanced role. I thought mangala was a tidy player helped us keep hold of the ball and used it well. But cant really compare the two as kdh looks to give the ball and look to go forward and attack. I think the lad will shock a few people, i think will be a great signing for us

im hoping Grealish can be the doucoure replacement (not in style but position) and KDH is an upgrade on garner

why dont we think KDH can play in a 2 man midfield?

So, 5 in so far.

If we signed
Dibling
Grealish
Lopy

As all speculation is suggesting we will, then just a RB and 1 more to give Moist his 10.

Would fellow brethren be happy if this was the end scenario?
Not a huge fan of Grealish, but on loan he could be that game changer for us!

But all in all, I would be happy with the window if this was the case... 3-4 x 1st team starters plus the rest and some good profiles to build into the squad / team over the coming months / years.

Pickford
JOB Tarks Branthwaite Myko
Gana Lopy KDH
Ndiaye Grealish
Beto

Gives us a good strong bench then too including:

Travers
Aznou
new RB (unless a starter)
Keane
Garner
Dibling (of course could be a starter over Jack, and especially if paying up to 50m for him)
Barry
Armstrong
McNeil
Chermiti
Tim
Alcaraz

Not sure much width but definitely a great attacking 3 players there who can carry us forward

I imagine a striker on loan, so that we can send Chermitti on loan ourselves. Wages likely an issue - but someone like Mitrovic would do nicely.
Could be that, or could be another player for one of the 3 spots behind the striker. Even if we sign Grealish and Dibling it would be 5 players for those 3 positions so technically still 1 player short.

Chermiti could do with a loan for sure but at the same time not convinced he's ever going to develop enough to make it here tbh. More time that passes the more that looks like an absolutely bizarre use of 15m by Kev and co at a time when money was extremely tight.

Is Hojlund on loan a ridiculous shout?
I assume United would want a big loan fee and wages covered, maybe if they get desperate towards the end of the window but I don’t see it. But they’ve valued him at 30m, less than half what they bought him for.

Soton would have to cave on Dibling. Might announce an undisclosed fee but it's important we don't overpay.

Grealish a very expensive loan but ok. I'd rather that money was put towards a younger player on a full deal.

Don't know much about Lopy other than his penchant for yellow cards.

Justin being linked for RB. Ok as backup.

Overall I'd say it's ok, even if it would be quite different to how I imagined things unfolding.

A lot of work to turn 5 signings into 10. Might get 8 or 9.

Lopy looks to me to be a gana backup. 2nd division Spain may need some adjustment time and patience
