Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It’s a balance isn’t it. The top players don’t want to come. Moyes doesn’t want players who aren’t good enough. The club doesn’t want to over pay on targets. Fans want bodies through the door and very good ones. The manager and fans want them as soon as possible. Some of the better ones might only come available at the end of the window.

I’ve said before that if Everton had wanted to sign Longstaff Coufal Callum Wilson Brownhill and Fellows we could have probably done all that business early doors. We have tried to sign better, we maybe set sights too high and it now sounds like we’re stuck at the next group of players trying to balance all of the above conflicting pressures.

We can still come out of this window very strongly and then we might look back and be glad we didn’t give in and buy a load of dross or massively overpay.
After the Man U game I’m at least a bit more optimistic about the start of the season,a friendly yes,but more at stake than just a run out.

So, 5 in so far.

If we signed
Dibling
Grealish
Lopy

As all speculation is suggesting we will, then just a RB and 1 more to give Moist his 10.

Would fellow brethren be happy if this was the end scenario?
I'd be happy if it happens before the league starts so we actually use these players we buy, as they "won't be ready".

So, somewhat yes, somewhat no.

*Shoulda been signed a month ago
*Need to get settled in the squad and match fit
*Still no depth, a couple of usual Everton injuries and we're back to where we were
*What about the loans
*The stadium still aint painted
*We've got players that never play still, we need to get rid
*The ticketing app aint working
*Ran out of crap beer in the bars round our seats
*The bridge/parking/buses/trains/weather - The aways get treated better than the home support etc

There's plenty to get the hordes going...
