Other Clubs Transfer Window 2025-2026.

Massively favourite in my mind. I hate basically all the business they've done (in and out). And they relied on a record breaking defence last season as it was, which just isn’t comparable at PL level.

Obviously I don’t pretend to be any expert in terms of football knowledge though. Totally prepared to be wrong, but I just don’t see it.
What. It's a pre-requisite on this site. Begone with you.

Feel sorry for all of us then.
If the world's richest club can't break the scab cartel what's the point?

They were the highest net spenders in the world a few years ago (higher than PSG, Real etc.) unfortunately for them they bought absolute rubbish. Their fans didn’t seem to realise at the time the PSR nightmare it would create and instead crawed on about being “the richest club in the world”

And then have failed to sell any of those players on for a profit (and their fans are fuming at the one chance they have this summer to create some headroom), so have ended up in this PSR nightmare all from their own doing.

If they wanted to “break the cartel” or however you want to put it, there’s loads of stuff they could do in order to circumvent PSR (the Chelsea approach), but seemingly their owners now aren’t that bothered - maybe because they have their own league, CWC and also World Cup (?)

I also wouldn’t feel too sorry for them. They’ll have Champions League money next year, and will presumably sell Isak this summer or next - so will have money to spend next year.

Spend more than you earn,

Administration comes soon,

Conference for you.
Why can't they do a type of escrow deal?

Spend what you want but put a matching amount in a bond....

Bond can only be used to pay off club debt so the club will never be in danger...

If you want to spend 500mill on players you have to commit the funds to pay off any debt so the club will be fine,

The current system of allowing teams like utd to run up silly debt but carry on spending is ridiculous...

Look at Villa and Newcastle over the past couple of seasons. Domestically better than Chelsea, Man Utd yet look at what the latter are being able to spend, and what the former are struggling with. There's a ceiling you can hit and the way the Rules are laid out, you go no further and just slide back down to mid table.
