with less than 2 weeks till the start of the season?

Reckon we see anyone loaned out? Chermiti? Tim Iroegbunam? Patterson? Armstrong again?

A quite phenomenal lover.

Dibling, KDH, Lupy, there's gonna be some properly gutted criers around here soon.

Granted they'll move onto their next outrage. Let's get a poll going, what will the very loud complainers be moaning about next?
It's going to be new stadium related surely. Either that or Charlie Adam returns lazarus style as our fitness coach

Think this is where we should take a dignified approach. Regardless of what the seller thinks a player is worth, if you can’t come to an agreement then walk away.

We don’t need to go spouting or briefing the media like the rags did, we obviously have a limit to what we will pay and that’s clearly at odds with Soton.

Leave the offer on the table but have a plan B, fact is that this is different to Jarrod as we didn’t need to sell whereas I believe Soton desperately do so the more time goes on then the fear of “missing out” will impact on the sellers side. If someone else comes in and pays the asking fee then fine but I’m not seeing any links with other clubs out there which might put pressure on the sellers side to compromise.

Either way, we would be stupid not to be looking at alternatives…. And that’s the bit that worries me

Are you happy with our squad then with less than 2 weeks till the start of the season? Moyes certainly isn’t.
It's not ideal no but we're clearly trying to bring in players and negotiations have been tough with clubs playing hard ball. No need to panic though as we're not the only club struggling to bring players in

So far, yes. KDH looks imminent and the others we’ve signed so far are better than who they replaced.

optimistic on grealish lopy and dibling. Those three effectively replace lindstrom, mangala and Harrison.

Add a couple of loans and we’ll be looking stronger than last year and most of our competitors have weakened.

Isn't Dibling himself a Plan B though?

Great post and saved me the effort to write something similar

Grealish is a good player but I don’t see the long or even medium term strategy behind bringing him in.

If it’s a statement, then what is the statement saying?
Another way of looking at this is that his profile could ignite interest of players who would want to join and play alongside him.

We definitely need a long term strategy but at the same time we are scraping to put a bare eleven on the pitch so we do need to compromise for the short term too

Look at the age ranges of all of the other players signed. We need someone like grealish to balance that out. A loan is much lower risk.
