I think Southampton playing hardball helps us to an extent.

Your player farms who buy players for profit will look at what's on the table, the high fee and especially the 25% sell on and not be that interested.

If they had accepted out £27m offer, id of expected to see Spurs & Chelsea sneak in at that value

I think they are trying to flush others out and start a bidding war mate, they'll know the clubs who have made an enquiry earlier in the window, they are basically calling final orders.

The attraction of Dibling, is he will double in price in a couple of years for another club, no club is giving a quarter of that away - they will know that themselves, they are using Ornstein to try and flush out other interest.

Been told the lad is raging and will be handing in a transfer request. He's already agreed a deal with Everton, after they were given permission to talk to him on the understanding that it would take £40M to sign him, but not Southampton are looking for over £50M because they reckon Spurs and Chelsea are interested too
He’s already been at Chelsea, not staying he wouldn’t go back, but think it would be a surprise and spurs have about 7/8 wide players. I think at 19 he will want to play

Wouldn't surprise me this

I really like dibling and think his dribbling skills really suit our style. Looks like a younger bigger Ndiaye. We haven’t had an attacking threat on the right side in a long time. Won’t turn 20 until February and was a special player on a truly abysmal Southampton side.

I’d be ok with 45 plus as ons. Hope we can talk them down on the sell on fee and get it done.

They’ve botched it for themselves now. Nobody will pay the 50mil plus and it would be embarrassing to let him go for less now. So the likely scenario is that he stays for another year and ends up going for 30-40 mil next summer with only 1 year left on his contract. This season will likely impact his value at all

That 25% sell on clause killed any chance of a deal. You would have to be completely insane to accept such a thing. They are basically saying give us a massively overinflated fee and then also give us all the profit you make from him further down the line. I mean just as if. An unproven young lad. Laugh, walk and on to the next one on the list Everton. At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.

Been busy since this morning and missed about 100 pages.

I take it we’ve almost got this wrapped up?

They now want 60m

50% sell on clause.

A helicopter from the Nakatomi Centre on the plaza to the airport where they want 2 x fully fuelled jumbo jets prepped and ready for takeoff.

2 x mighty meaty Dominoes Pizzas with extra garlic sauce.

And a crate of Stella.

It’s an ever evolving situation.

The problem is they also want 20% of sell on value. So thats well out of order. Hes worth 20-25. Leave it. Walk. Move on up….
