Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

EVERTON TRANSFER TEEMS CAPTURE RIGHT WING TARGET

I’m not liking this Dibling deal.

£50m for someone unproven in the prem is a massive risk.

It’s ok taking £5-10m punts on the likes of Cahill and Lescott etc, in fact I think Timmy was only £2.5m back in the day.
Should be like £30m. We are gambling on potential, a kid who may come good.

Question for anybody who has @MikeH72 on ignore – has life been noticeably better for you since you made that decision? In my mind it would solve 80% of all whinging.

He`s a top lad and one of my favourite posters, but it would appear that he`s been a on a two week long crystal meth bender, devoting every waking hour to the transfer thread

It is the other way round. For 99% of clubs the majority of business gets done at the back end of the window. Players become available that weren't initially, prices come down as selling clubs get more desperate to move on players they need to sell.

Don't get me wrong its frustrating and will likely lead to a slow start to the season for us but it's the reality. Look at the other PL clubs business so far, majority are in the same boat as us. We have clearly struggled to make stuff happen but we still have plenty of time and opportunity to make this window a success, and the most crucial couple of weeks is still to come.

No it doesn’t at all, what are you on about?

If the figures online are right he’s on about £300k a week salary
He isn’t going to get that with AC Milan that’s for sure.

Rafael Leao is their top paid player at the minute on around £150k so I doubt he would get more than that if he would even get that much from them.

I am not saying we should be going in for him at 300k a week by any means but if TFG want statement signing then Grealish on loan and Vlahovic on 150k a week isn’t the worst they could do. Like I said, you could sell Vlahovic at 26 for pretty much what we would pay for him in a year if it doesn’t go well.

On the other hand, he could easily be our best striker since Rom and fire us up the league and £25m would seem a snip given current PL prices value Isak at £150, Mbeumo at £70m and even Hojlund at £40m 😂

We don't have a RW & I feel we have needed one for about 3 seasons.

With that being said I'm ok with us not having our pants pulled down over Dibbling, and though I think KDH will be a good addition, I think we've paid slightly over the odds for him (Chelsea shouldn't be able to book this transfer failure (for them) in as a player trading profit (because of how amortisation works) IMO).

Can we just get a proper rapid right winger in now, and I'll be OK with what we have (bonus for an extra CM, a veteran CF so CHermitti can go on loan & a young RB with a high performance ceiling, so we can jettison Patterson)
Re KDH for Chelsea sure it's a profit this year, but they copped his salary plus depreciation last season, they're still walking out of it with a cash loss, even excluding the wages they paid to him. If they did that with all their player trades they would be constantly paying out more cash than they make. Regardless it's all irrelevant if that's what he is worth
