Exactly..... some of the new generation of these vehicles are 3 carriage with a driving station at either end. That would be perfect for this application. With the dock road handed over to them on matchdays and Bath St opened up to them for access to the Strand. As you say, just a few of these could shifts thousands per hr. With others going further into the city centre if a clear route can be identified/created, with segregation and priority at all junctions. Then suddenly, the stadium is effectively in the city centre!
Thank you. Still a bit confused as to what “one food item” means as well. Get bangers and mash and get one of the sausages free?Seat Unique just got back to me - Trinity Place is not a three-course meal, just one food item (whatever that means)
There is a lot of fans from out of town attending games, self included. Goodison match routine was to park at Stanley Park car Park. This would still be a good option for many and then a park and ride to the ground. Surprised they haven’t looked into this. Wrote an email to the fan advisory panel asking if this had been considered and did get a reply suggesting it hadn’t been part of the travel plans at this time.I think going into town might be the best option and getting a taxi to BMD if there's atwo or three of you, make a day of it, finance permitting .
it’s a 3ft long hotdog tbf, plenty for one person.Seat Unique just got back to me - Trinity Place is not a three-course meal, just one food item (whatever that means)
I wonder if it's to do with the shuttle bus required, I checked the capacity and it's 1k cars so you might have a decent number of people arriving and departing and needing a few buses to travel a couple of miles and back, looks like they are shifting car drivers to park in the city centre and using train, walk or the new bus routes to get to and from the groundThere is a lot of fans from out of town attending games, self included. Still think it would be worth trialing. That car park can hold 100’s of cars and was used successfully as an all in Park and Ride when the city hosted Eurovision, all done with Liverpool City Council support. Why have they overlooked this as an option for EFC match day?
