I can find fault with anything newly bought or newly built and I wish I wasn’t like that. Wouldn’t actually mind having a stone on the access panel as certainly easy to find, but could it not maybe have been straight with the hundreds of other vertical or horizontal lines on the Way?

Yeah, this bothers me also.

I’d have been really disappointed if my stone was on that.

This is off the echo, but it was before it was completed, and it’s complete now - bridge joining one side to the other isn’t going to help much but It’s something I guess. Will fit bout at most another 500 people I guess here.

Yeah it's good to see improvements being made, it will take time to improve transport, private and public but it'll get there

Not being able to get to the game. Theres a finite amount of places available for disabled parking. As for those who got to Goodison by public transport, forget it for a few years down at the dock stadium.

Did you see this in the travel guide @davek? That's on top of one of the highest amount of accessible parking in the PL

We’re pleased to offer an Accessible Shuttle Service for supporters travelling to and from the Hill Dickinson Stadium on matchdays. The shuttle will operate between Sandhills Station (Sandhills Lane) and Boundary Street, approximately 175 metres from the stadium. This service will run pre-match and post-match.

12pm to 2:45pm

4:45pm to 7:30pm

Booking Information:

To reserve a space on the shuttle, please email accessibility@evertonfc.com or contact the Accessibility Team directly by calling 0151 556 1878 (Select option 1, then option 2, followed by option 3).

Please include accessibility requirements of supporters and number of supporters travelling

Pick-up & Drop-off Locations:

· Pre-match pick-up: Sandhills Lane, near Sandhills Station

· Post-match drop-off: Bottom end of Boundary Street (same as pre-match drop-off)

Vehicle Details:

· The shuttle vehicles are large, black cab-style vehicles operated by COM CAB.

· Each vehicle will display a clear sign in both the front and rear windows reading: ‘EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB ACCESSIBLE SHUTTLE RUN SERVICE’.

The 918, 919, 929 and 939 shuttle buses, outlined above, also stop at stadium bus stops and Boundary St (at Royal Crest Hotel), for those with limited mobility.

If that's the attitude of the club then good luck filling the stadium over the next 10 years. My biggest issue is that car parks seem to be about a 30 minute walk from the stadium. I hope the park and ride/other buses work well.

There's one next to the Mercedes Garage just off Leeds Street. Not sure if they're going to open on matchdays, but they'd be daft not to.

It's 15-20 minute walk from Stanley Park Car Park to Goodison. Your parking options will be limited at Bramley Moore and most will be faced with 30-40 minute walks for parking.

This is crying out for a proper, frequent matchday bus service from Walton Lane/Priory Road at £2 a ride £3 return. Something that you can get 2 hours before kick off up to 10 mins before kick off. And vice versa. You get the gist.

If after all this time there is nothing in place, heads need to roll. Starting with mophead. Too busy with his bendy bus set.

People want to drive. Regardless.

The huge gravel one? £4 don't know if it is open weekends.

First of all you're asking people with poor mobility to get on overcrowded trains and fight their way through to Sandhills station to pick up points.

AFAIK the only way past this is the drop off points near to the station from private cars in soft closure zones periods, but that's a minimum of an hour or so before KO. After that the hard zone comes into play and that drop off window disappears.

I think arriving at the ground should be okay as it's staggered. Leaving will be the difficult part.

First thing is 53k fans leaving through the same entry points at the same time. I went up there the other week and there's not a huge amount of space to exit. People are going to need to be very patient.

Secondly, if the amount of transport that's going to be available at full time. In my opinion they're going to need a lot of buses ready in place to fill up to get people back into the city centre. You can't have people standing there for over half an hour in the winter.

My prediction is there'll be a lot of people right now who plan on walking in from town that very rarely actually walk that much. Half an hour in and half an hour out doesn't sound bad but throw in some poor weather and the novelty of doing the walk to the new ground wearing off and they're going to be forced into finding alternatives.

Agree but I do believe a lot of people parked a circa 20-30 min walk from goodison.

It's the less abled I'm worried about.

It will appear online that it was a total catastrophe, everything about the day, the experience, the transport, the scoreboard, the corner flags, the clarity of the announcer, the acoustics, the smell and the wind will have ruined everyone’s life, and that of their pets.

But 99% of people will have had a fantastic, probably emotional day, put up with a few foibles, realised that no-one forced them to buy a Korean Chicken Bowl if they didn’t want one, and found out some do’s and don’ts in terms of getting in and out of the area.

There will be issues, and people are right to voice them of course. But plenty on X will have already pre-decided what they are going to dislike.
