Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Saints reportedly sticking to their minimum £40m fixed and pushing £50m all in for Dibling which has been the consistent position in their local media. We do not want to go there if we trust BBC (big if). Might Omari Hutchinson be where we pivot? Could it be one of the random linked names like the Georgian lad at St. Etienne?

Hope not. Overrated AF.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this happened. I'm not keen on caving into Soton and don't think they will either. Surely they still have active interest in several players at present.

No that’s last year’s calculation, you’re doing it a year behind. The three year calculation for this season will include 23/24, 24/25, 25/26. Therefore 22/23, the bad one, drops off.
That one drops off June 2026... If you are looking at PSR headroom you can only look at the past...

Can speculate on additional income but I wouldn`t be surprised if our total spending reached £250m which of course only 20%-25% will be downpayed. I think we`ve got more headroom that most think.

I do too. The restructuring of the debt will provide bunce this season and beyond

I’ve explained why you are wrong. You said the three year calculation was 22/23, 23/24, 24/25.

We are in 25/26, the current expenditure is in FY 25/26, why would the three year calculation for 25/26 not include 25/26? Therefore 22/23 is no longer on the calculation relating to current expenditure

Including players stepping up is a bit of a swizz. Moyes will be wanting them out the door on loan if hels allowed the number of players he wants in.
The only two stepping up are Tyrer and Armstrong. Armstrong has shown enough to be around the side in my view. If we get another and he goes on loan fair enough, but he can offer as much as Mangala did and won’t lose the ball as much as Doucoure did.

And Tyrer is replacing Begovic. Who didn’t appear for us last season. We are better off in the gk position than we were last season.
