Yeah this. We have to move away from Gana in that position. Garner is the answer there. Have Gana chasing further forward if he has to play at all.

Mind you, he’s in to the last 12 months of his contract so whatever you think of him as a player, that needs addressing pronto. You can’t have an asset potentially leaving on a free next summer.

I think Garner will play better without Gana next to him. KDH brings a better balance with Garner able to sit a little deeper and KDH more advanced.

Still with an ACM in front of them.

If it was me though, I'd have Garner as a 6 with KDH & Alcaraz as 8's.

Definitely look at extending his contract now by a further two years with club option for a third. Even if he doesn't improve this season he's still a £10m asset minimum and could easily be sold.

Garner was the signing I was most excited about a few years ago. Did a bang up job for Forest and United fans were generally pissed they let him go. I love Gana but JG is best at the 6 and brings so much more balance into the squad, especially in possession
