How much would you expect to pay for a 26 year old from a club like Chelsea?

This is how I feel about him positionally. Which is weird and I can't really make sense of this transfer - we desperately need a defensive mid (because Gana is ancient and going to the AFCON) and a passing CM who's okay defensively (because Garner's not good enough). This guy is neither and so we'd still have to address both those positions. Don't really get it but he's good so I'm just really curious who we bring in around him. Maybe he's in that Grealish squad slot?

Just cos he's at Chelsea and their cattle farm does not mean that he's "good" or worth the original fee they paid.

They bought him for £30mill. He started 2 games in the prem last season, hes a year older. Yet his value hasn't diminished.

You wouldn't do the same with a car.

Well he's got a good engine but that's where the comparison ends I think.

They buy young players and their value automatically increases as the market continues to rise.

They win on some, they lose occasionally.
 

There was a claim that WHU had offered £25 million but that was rejected. So not sure he will be sold for much below that sum. I have seen various estimates of his wage and when you bear in mind he wasn’t seen as a long term option then I doubt that he is on the £80k estimate.

He certainly wasn’t worth £30 million when we signed him for Leicester but inflation in the transfer market has gone crazy. Of course some would argue we, Chelsea, have stoked that but for every buyer there is a seller who gladly will receive the fee.

KDH is a solid PL midfielder with a decent engine but was never going to be a starter and with some of the younge4 players like Santos returning from productive loans they he seems to be slipping further down the pecking order.

Hes a solid player i think and a good edition. Dont really see much difference between him and Garner talent wise and a bit dubious about how consistent he is as a premier league player (he did play in a side with Maddison and Telimans and got relegated).

More concerned about the lack of attacking options.
