I just see a player who clocks off way too many times.

Hard to be upbeat about such meh signings.

Are we actually going to make a statement signing this window instead of squad fillers and little better than that?

That's because we're dealing in bargain basement prices probably.

Anything less than £30M now will get you cast offs and untested players with hopefully a future.

We are on page 2 now, maybe even page 3. All the good ones won't touch us with a barge pole.

To be honest I'm not that fussed about a statement signing, would rather we make the right signings for our needs.

I know it's not exciting or glamorous, but chasing the statement signing is what gets clubs into trouble (just look at Man Utd spending the big bucks, have any of their signings addressed the fact their defence and keeper are hopeless?)

I class someone like Lukaku when we got him as a statement signing.

He wasn't big bucks but he was transformational and had that scope to him even before he arrived.

We need goals and someone with PL experience and proven GS ability.

I’d have him instead of Gana. We really need to move away from Gana if we want to improve.
