Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Notice I have never ever commented on anyone's grammar unless they specifically try to use it against another poster, it's a footy forum and half the lads posting have usually had a beer 🍺 or ten, so being a pendant and going straight at someone over grammar rather than arguing the point is a Richard move.

But love you jumping to the defence of a person who initially did so.

Anyways, transfer thread maybe we should try to sign a player or two eh.
Pendant 🤣

You realise that in the last 8 or so months there is a new manager, entirely new ownership and recruitment team?

Who is the “they” lying to us? Moreover, why would anybody go to great expense, the chronic faff of financing, due diligence, recruitment, etc, in order to hoodwink a bunch of frustrated arl fellas on the internet?

Very clearly things aren’t happening nearly as quickly as we’d like them to, but I can categorically promise you that it’s not down to some shadowy cabal who spend hundreds of millions of pounds just to troll high blood pressure footy fans for the LOLZ.
Bravo! 👏👏

Funny story/reason as to why my spell checker auto corrects in a massively weird way actually, but pedant, let's just say...

Yup annoying ), almost as annoying as our inability to sign players in fact.

Gianni Balzarini's latest video talks about Forest as a serious contender, and gives numbers that don't make any sense. He has Forest offering well under Juventus's stated demand, but says he thinks they can make a deal. He says that Forest is offering 33-34 million euro, while Juventus wants 40, but he thinks a deal can be made for 38.

The crucial bit is that he mentions it would be a loan with an obligation triggered by certain "easily reachable" conditions. He repeatedly said in the past that Everton was in for a 10+30 deal (10 million euro loan fee with an option to buy for an additional 30 million). The sticking point was that Juventus demanded an obligation rather than an option.

Balzarini gives the club view of things, whereas some of the other sources work with the agents. If this is a bit of gamesmanship from Juventus, then taking those numbers all together, it's possible they're piggybacking on Joorabchian's Forest gambit and dangling a carrot, hoping Everton will either (a) jump on the obligation to not lose out or (b) compromise on the option by accepting a loan with a triggered obligation.
For the ppl talking about Luis
