The anger won't be directed at Moyes if we start poor, it'll be directed straight at TFG and the appointments they've made who look like they're not capable of sorting out player recruitment to any kind of acceptable level.

Exactly, hope this changes btw, but it looks to me like TFG have recruited the team too late to make a difference this season, or if that's not true more worrying the recruitment team are not up to the job. Again prove me wrong, I would love to be proved wrong, but I feel this will hurt the feelings of a few Ostriches who may even raise their heads out of the ground and prattle on about pissed up mattresses. fire away, better still Everton prove me wrong.

We have targets, we have money…. Unfortunately we are not an exciting prospect for players as we currently can’t offer European competition. A few of our targets will understandably wait as long as they can before committing to a club so they can evaluate all of their options. That’s what I would do anyway.

“At least one” isn’t really good enough is it. There’s under 4 weeks until the window closes (as it seems widely accepted that we’re throwing the first 3 games again so I’ll just roll with it). Take out weekends because obviously the recruitment lads don’t work them. Leaves us with about 20 days left to sign 6 players.

Get a move on.
