The line seems to have come from Joyce tbf and there are a few things on twitter this morning saying we are 'readying' our bid for him.

Evertonians need to stop thinking in terms of transfer windows or having everything before the first game. This is going to take a while and I’d rather get good players and take time than panic and just throw money everywhere.

It’s such a weird entitlement from fans nowadays. Wonder how it’s all creeped in.

Joyce mentioned it in his article on Friday .. not seen any other links mentions from other Journos this window.

But we’ve been manifesting it on here all weekend 😂

To have a squad/or even 11 players who can play natural positions for the start of the season is entitlement? I am not just saying bring anyone in I am not expecting that, and i get it takes time to get everyone we want if that's the end of the window fine and I am very realistic about where we are. But you aren't telling me we couldn't have brought ONE player who could play right wing naturally this summer are you? We have Ndiaye and Mcneil and that's it and they are both natural on the left, two wingers for a PL squad give me a break? That isn't entitlement that's a minimum requirement for a PL team. Other squads have multiple choices we constantly make excuses for incompetence, I won't. We haven't won a game in August since 2021?! Wonder why!
 

If on 1st September you look at that squad and go Jesus…i never thought we’d have a squad with quality like that! Then all this stress was pointless as TFG/Kinner knew what they were doing.

Equally if on 1st September you look at that squad and go Jesus…we re-signed CL and Jack Harrison we're screwed!!
 
The crap thing is, theres an order for a signing here. Seems first Bobble gets a sniff, thats an entire day, next day maybe medical news, then silence. Following days panic on if they'll get swooped from us, then another two or three days of media crap until they ultimately sign.

I always think that. Tonnes of half decent players lose years off their careers. Guess most aren’t arsed.

That Delap lad will be sent on loan in 12 months then sold to someone like us at a premium in 2/3 years.
