Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We were solidly linked with him on Friday.

I would presume we aren't just blindly bidding for players, and that we have done some work to determine an asking price.

Which we will then bid according to what our valuation is.

You don't bid for a house without knowing the market value.

I'm not really bothered about the player, tbh. I dont rate him. Has half a good game every 5 he plays. Not what we need at all.

As frustrating as this window is currently it’s impossible to judge until it closes.
I suspect that the aim is to ensure that we add quality to the squad. That may mean prolonged negotiations to ensure we get maximum value from our money allowing us to sign more high standard players.
I am not as concerned with how we start the season as with how we finish it .
If we fill the team with low quality/ aging players in this window , it will severely limit any hope of significant improvement for 2 or three seasons and the money spent on fees and wages will be spent for little if any return .

I’d get both KDH and Josh Brownhill, we’re so short in the middle it’s unreal. Especially with Gana being 36 and going off to the AFCON.

Get Tim out on loan, make or break, if he has a good loan he would likely be worth more to someone than he would here.

Desperately need 6-8 in prior to the season starts.

We must get a RW in asap.
Bit contradicting so short in the middle Gana going afcon get Tim out on loan. Brownhill in is desperate for me rather keep Tim and get KDH in.

It's quickly approaching "he'll have to do" and "we need numbers" territory, which means the likes of Jack Harrison will almost certainly start coming back into the discussion.

Probably enter talks for a few West Ham rejects like Ward-Prowse and Cornet, too.

Clubs will know our desperation also, so we can fully expect to get absolutely zero value for money.

As it stands we're going to see no-right-foot McNeil at right wing against Leeds with Keane partnering Tarkowski at the back, and if we're unlucky and get an injury in the game we genuinely could see Onyango enter the fray.
