What Did You Last Eat Thread

Got a load of fresh coriander for pennies, so threw together a curry base, slow cooked (including lentils) and have now portioned that up (about 3) and knocked together a slow cook pork fillet goan style curry, fresh garlic and chilli's. Whilst stove was on decided to boil up a bag of jersey royals that were 1/4 price (£1). So a handful of those going in the curry when they're ready. Chapattis later. Gotta keep a beer back for the privilege. Smells great, and is already a deep red brown colour. Not to much oil neither.

Nice walk with the dogs then back home for a breakie.

The Sausage,Bacon,Mush and Beans cooked on??? That's right you guesses it @summerisle ,The Ninja wood fire grill!

I've been wanting to get one of the ninja woodfired grills for a while but seen Lidl have the Silvercrest woodfired grill for less than half the price so might take a plunge on that but need to do some research first.

Just can't get any decent smoked meats in bbq spots around here so resorting to doing it myself.

Mate I've bored everyone to sleep waffling on about my Ninja ha.

Can't recommend it enough.

Just had a little look at silver crest and it more or less looks the same, don't know if performs but for half the price it's definitely worth go👍

If you get one throw some pics in here to so can see how you get on.

Am going smoke a brisket and some ribs next.

Will do if i take the plunge and get it. As i said i need to do some resesrch and see if anyone has compared the too.

I am under no illusion though that whatever i produce won't be anywhere near the quality of what i had in Terry Blacks in Austin.

Sweet Mother Mary of Joseph

One thing I'd also say, maybe to start with Chicken wings and Thighs because you can't really mess them up,and you can gets to grips with how the thing works.

Done these BBQ Maple Mustard,Pork belly lollipops yesterday.

Cut into cubes, marinate in Tubby Toms Maple rub over night.

Smoke on 190 for 30mins

Take them out, them put them in the tin foil container, pour pineapple juice in the bottom of the tin, then cover in Sweet baby Ray BBQ sauce, cover the top tight in tin foil, then put back in the smoker for another 30min..job done

Obviously low and slow is best but these came out really well if you've got folks over for a BBQ and are pushed for time.
