Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The rest of the league isn’t ‘woeful’ and I have no idea why some people pretend it is. It’s the most competitive/deepest quality league there is.

Mate last season it was, the title and the relegation places were decided in March and that is the first time I have ever remembered it being the case.

May not have been exciting.. but the 3 promoted teams going straight back down despite spending small fortunes shows that the league is far from woeful. (Standard wise)

The very top teams weren’t as good as they have been, will give you that.

How was he? Would he be the RB or could be be a RW player?

Thats two convos...

Brownhill & Sanchez.

I meant last season. Thats Juanlu Sanchez?

He's played all over the place, but mainly as a RB, think they've moved him around to get him more minutes.

Saw him play RB last season v Barca, bit Sevilla got hammered so hard to say. Most of his games at RB are home games - he's definitely better going forwards and is an attacking RB if played there.

Very high ceiling though hence why Napoli want him

Bournemouth were mathematically safe by mid December apparently. The league is pretty average.

Blimey. The 3 promoted teams being nowhere near the level required shows that the standard of the rest of the league is very good!

This a difficult concept for people?

With only seeing youtubes and reading reports on him when we were first linked...

...a similar expectation to how I would see Anzou over a season.

Being eased into the side by December and then 1st choice (hopefully) January onwards.

Any ideas why hes not gone to Napoli already?

18 points is quite a lot.

And why not? Because there are more than 6 better teams. We can hope it happens, but I’d bet it doesn’t.
We were 23 points clear of relegation by the end of it, yet there's still bed wetters concerned about going down.. which would be a bigger swing than the 18 but yet people are saying the 18 is not possible. We had 17 points on January 19th last season, the remainder of the season was top 6 form.

Ok mate we’ll finish top 6. Can’t fill a bench at the minute but top 6 it is.

….looks like Wolves bound;

Highly unlikely, saw wolves made a bid higher than one Napoli has accepted a few weeks ago, apparently though Napoli put the agreed deal with club and player on hold as they wanted to finish all their first team signings beforehand.

Possible that solves got a sniff of the player willing to go elsewhere than wait, or more likely being used to get Napoli to finally sign off on the deal.
