He’s good enough to be a squad player for a team that would get to knock out stages of champions league
So he’s waiting to see if an elite team come in for him
If they don’t, then a premier league team is the next best thing and we will probably sign him

If I were a player and Stoke were offering me £200,000 per week over other clubs offering me £100,000 per week, I’d be signing for the clubs that aren’t Stoke.

It’d be worth roughly £5.2 million per year to me not to have to play for Stoke.
