Ticket poll for Brighton

Thanks, but I entered the ballot for the four of us.
If the system allows it, and the ages work out, you might be better entering the ballot as 2 twos. The amount of 4 seats together might be limited depending on how they do the ballot. By the end of the ballot only singles will be left and anyone wanting more than one seat at the point will be impossible.

Yes, that's what I was saying.

They definitely weren't ST resale at 10am.

How it's happened I've no idea and I'd be unhappy if I'd have been in the ballot and been unsuccessful but it was definitely this stage that happened at 10am.

Should the ballot not lead to a sell-out, a second sales window will instead open at 10am on the Friday for Forever Blue Members. Tickets in this sales window will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis to supporters purchasing online, over the phone (0151 556 1878) or in person. Forever Blue+ Members who did not apply during the ballot phase will also be eligible to buy during this window.

We now appear to be here...

Once the match has sold out, the Resale window will then open for Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members

Yeah, I did consider that.

But ultimately we'd rather not go than only half of us go, which is a distinct possibility.

It'd be nice to know more about the algorithm that runs the ballot to make informed choices like that, though.

No apology just we won’t send you tickets unless we cancel the duplicate

Silence is deafening as well.

A whole day late on email confirmations, tickets on sale when people in the ballot still haven’t heard anything (despite the fact that NO tickets should be on sale if there are people in the ballot who have to miss out).

Surely a statement is needed this morning, even just a placeholder acknowledging some issues and that the club is working through it would be something!

Okay, well I take your quote and raise you the one from here which says it is the resale window:

If the initial ballot allocation has sold out, the Resale window will open from 10am on the Friday, allowing Forever Blue+ and Forever Blue Members to access tickets listed by Season Ticket Members unable to attend the match.

But my chief point of contention with you is this: there's no way the ballot wasn't oversubscribed for this game.

Yeah, was just thinking that could be the only other feasible explanation. That people drawn late in the ballot that wanted blocks of seats were unsuccessful because there were no blocks of that size left.

But surely they have software to maximise seating. The vagueness of the areas you selected, plus the back up option should mean only a few would fall into this category. If they haven't, it's scandalous!

Totally get what you are saying mate.

But for whatever reason there were tickets remaining after the ballot process was complete. The tickets that people were buying at 10am this morning were 100% not ST resale. I had one in my basket at about half ten and it wasn't a ST resale ticket.
