I'd heard of him.

But I can't recall seeing him kick a ball. I didn't watch much Southampton last season. Now I've seen his goal vs Ipswich, I remember that.

I sat at Goodison, and don't remember him playing.

Laughing on Twitter, someone was astonished I don't recall seeing him play and couldn't remember how well he played against us. Someone else waded in an said he only played 20 odd minutes, an another that he was subbed off.

I'd rather people were honest than blag they know all about someone.

No 100%, like I said, i'm not saying it's a bad thing not to know much about a player, or even never to have heard of them, there are loads of players I couldn't tell you anything about and wouldn't recognise if I tripped over them.

My point was just that you have quite literally never heard of a PL player then just by definition you can't be in a position to make judgements on how good our players in relation to others for example, because you're clearly not watching other teams much. I had a conversation with someone on here last season where they said Mykolenko would walk into the Bournemouth team (we'd just played them). I said absolutely no way on earth Mykolenko is better than Kerkez, and they said 'Who's Kerkez?'. It's the same thing, you can't tell me one player is better than other if you don't even know who the other player is.

An observation would be if he struggled in 2022 moving an hour to his boyhood/supported club, at academy level because of the environment, then Everton would do well to ensure the environment is spot on for a lad his own club, as a senior player, describe as a shy outsider.

He was unable to play and train with his new team-mates as Chelsea abided by the Premier League's five-step review process, an investigation used during transfers for academy players before they can be registered to ensure everything is above board with the move.

While his new team-mates went to win a pre-season tournament in Germany in the summer of 2022, strengthening their bond, Dibling was training alone with a coach.

That isolation was a large reason for him struggling to settle and the clubs were still in negotiations over a fee when Dibling made his desire to return to Southampton clear after just six weeks.

What happened in particular circumstances at 16 for a youth player shouldn't necessarily be a measuring stick for what happens in very different circumstances at 19 for an established senior player.

Whatever way we spin it mate, it indicates he'll need a better environment than perhaps Everton have offered young players at the beginning of their careers since Moshiri.

Wasn’t he going round throwing in mad challenges and fouls against us and got hooked before he got sent off?

He came on against us in the cup game at the beginning of the season and did well.

Fairly anomonous in the last game at Goodison, but who was paying attention that day?

Ask Harrison Armstrongs mum and dad if they fancy putting him up for a couple of years

Moyes tends to like to bring to lads of that age into a first team squad at the same time so they have someone to hang round with

Certain it was, he was flying round like a mad mad, can defo get the emotional part of his character, seemed he lost his head over something quite minor.
