Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Armstrong (18)
Anzou (19)
Dibling (19)
Fofana (20)
Alcaraz (22)
Barry (22)
Branthwaite (23)
O'Brien (24)
Ndiaye (25)

Bring in Dibling & Fofana and it would be a new young team developing.

A year or two under Moyes and then a transformative coach would be ideal.

Learning from lessons of the past to have assets as well as decent players. My concern is we need a few Douglas Luiz’s or Jack Grealish’s for a bit of experience and know how.

Why? Do you think we’ll outbid Ipswich? Or even bother bidding?
Im probably miles off but it feels to me like one that could suddenly be wrapped up out of absolutely nowhere if certain other things fall into place on our side with regards to other players. We've held a consistent interest from various tier 1 sources this whole summer, he's clearly waiting for a prem team and would say yes immediately, and we know what price Ipswich would say yes to. My guess is it depends on other areas of our squad building (like if we got Luiz or someone similar on loan).

Has anyone actually seen Dibling do anything? I haven’t seen much of him and when I have, he didn’t make a lasting impression.

A lot of people seem to rate him which is a good sign so maybe I’ve just not watched the right games

Kostoulas 35m, De Cuyper 20m, Rutter 46m, Minteh 35m, Wieffer 32m, Gruda 31m, Kadioglu 30m, O'Riley 29m, Tzimas 26m, Pedro 34m, Baleba 27m, Verbruggen 20m, Mwepu 23m, Caicedo 28m, Webster 22m, Jahankabakhsh 22m.

Cheap as chips.
Mitoma £2.5m Mac Allister £7m Cucurella £16m Estupiñán £14.9m Verbruggen £16.3m Robert Sánchez Free or next to nothing Bissouma £14m Trossard £12.5m

So he's correct then and you're wrong as he listed 16 big fees paid by Brighton you countered with 8 lower ones, so essentially 2/3rds of their signings are pretty big fees. Not as you suggested

He's quite similar to Ndiaye. Pacy and an excellent dribbler but needs to up his end product and contribution. I like it as a signing for the future if he can tighten up that part of his game but he's going to need time. If we do sign him we really need to sign another who is able to contribute more from day one. My worry is we pack the team with pacy dribblers but nobody who is able or has a track record of creating or scoring.

The reason why Brighton can spent these days are because they bought in players for low fees and sell them a few times more than the original fees. You can wiki the info.

The Chelsea cm was bought for 25 and sold for 100.

I only list 8, I’m not bothered to list every single one of them.

We were not able to do this.
