If TFG are doing what I think they may, we very well could have a set budget in terms of overall costs allowed to use, then a extra pot specifically tied in with spending on developmental players under 20-21. If that's the long term model then separating the amounts guarantees we focus on youth as it's ringfenced for that.
PSR rules won't differentiate so if we blow a stack on a kid with potential, can we afford to spend on the other players that we need to create a squad? I'm all for planning for tomorrow as long as we don't die today.

Yeah zat was just saying pay silly sums, for what it's worth having watched rigg a lot, he's definitely behind this lad currently and whilst super talented still a year or two away from playing a lot in the league.

A bit like Mcatee who I'm obsessed with - proved at Sheffield united he can hack it at a crap team and not let his head drop, so did this lad , those are massively important traits when biting a younger player as it shows they have a strong character
Im all in for dibling just not last year when we were psr bound

If the club/Moyes genuinely want this kid and £35m is still within the parameters of the budget then just go for it. I'd still personally try for more of a £30m+5 structured deal first though like.

He's clearly talented - but still relatively unproven at Prem level which is why I think the fee is a tad high..

In theory you 'should' go for the English player because of home grown rules, sponsorship/marketing when they get into the England side and i think its great when we have England players.

We absolutely need both though. Also, Dibling wont be on the wing for long.

Agreed. The one thing i dont think anyone has mentioned in this thread (which i did a few months ago) is his spacial awareness.

Ignoring everything else, when I watched him on tv and even on the odd youtube video he is adept at creating space for himself and positioning his body perfectly to be 'just' away from the defender.

Cant be easy either with teams knowing he would be the main threat and focusing on him.

2 years time he'll be a top top top player.

Agreed mate, that spacial awareness combined with his excellent balance and ball control makes him very difficult to stop without fouling him.

His upper body strength is decent too, I remember at Brighton away last season players were bouncing off him and they just couldn't get the ball of him so resorted to fouling him constantly.

As someone else said he's very similar to Palmer in how he plays and that combination of skillset is extremely rare.

There's a reason all the top clubs have been tracking him since the age of about 14.

Just having little mooch on the Southampton forum and they think 35 million gets him,They're saying he definitely wants out.

Also some of them are arguing he's definitely undiagnosed Autistic....I thought it was mad on here 😂
Yo`re not wrong there, but hat lot must be mad on a different level to be talking about that.

Plenty of loans still available...that's how we will pad the squad.
