Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Evening everyone. A change in the weather and a check on the tide times (the footpath we intended to take is flooded at high tide) meant that Operation “if all else fails we’ll go to Cromer” took place. Went to the museum which is housed in a row of fisherman’s cottages, one of which was home to my 3x gt grandparents. The copper in the wash house is almost the same as the one my grandparents used to heat water (drawn from the well) for bathing and wash day, made me feel ancient. Hello all. Another day another defeat. I'm not hopeful for the season. Your holiday looks lovely @Gwladysover. It is such a pretty part of England. I love the big skies.
Glad you got tickets @Barnfred 55 . You'll have a great time.
I'm also glad you got your meds sorted @Terrarian
I have some news to share with you all. Chris has been quite ill recently with digestive issues caused by his immunotherapy treatment. So after numerous tests the medics have decided that his immune system is so ramped up ( which is what immunotherapy does)it is attacking his pancreas and causing it not to produce an enzyme that breaks down fat in your diet. It can be controlled by meds. His oncologist has told him that she is quite happy to stop the immunotherapy because there has been no recurrence of the melanoma- most recurrence happen in the first 12 months. Chris is well past that point, he has had 7 out of 9 treatments so they are just going to monitor him- scans every few months. This is amazing. I am so happy and relieved in equal measures.
That’s such amazing news you must all be absolutely buzzing about it, I’m so pleased for you all

It’s a wonderful thing to see the homes of your ancestors, it’s fascinating to think that they lived there and you are also there now. These things blow my mind when I’m doing family research

Friday today, the reserved sign is on our table in the pub (I do this everyThursday evening) so that all my friends who lost partners last year can relax in familiar surroundings and in an area large enough to be comfortable. The rest of our customers all understand this and observe the sign without comment or complaint. Mind you I’d bar anyone that did, it’s great owning a pub……..

Good morning all on this fine day , no errands to run for a glass of water yet as his majesty is still in the land of slumber ! We have been waiting to have breakfast which at his request was Lidl ham and cheese croissants . Ours have now disappeared down the hatch and he is still asleep ,I can't complain as he had trouble sleeping in Liverpool.
We had a good conflab last night about the migrant situation not just in the UK but overall and came to the conclusion the world is in a mess ,we did the obligatory Orange head annihilation and covered most of the worlds other troubles all to no great conclusion but good fun and not a raised word to be heard although I was offended when he said I was like his mother who voted for Brexit, loves the evil Nigel and Trump ! He later recinded the comment with tail betwixt is legs .So nice to spend so long just the two of us around a table ( is that possible )
I hope all are well and have a marvellous day wherever they are @Gwladysover ! COYB

Well I’m going to try to stay awake for the game tonight. I have my supplies (Guiness zero and cheese and onion crisps 😂). Let’s see how it goes as I’m usually in bed at half ten.
I’m not keen on Moyes’ honesty at the moment however admirable. I just think it gives a bad message to anyone thinking of coming to us - it’s like the good players won’t come so you’ll do. Let’s hope there are guys out there who want to prove themselves in the premier league. That would lessen if grealish came but will he really?
Enjoy the game if you’re watching too 💙
Well that was crap....again. All the hope of moving into the new stadium with a hungry young team is quickly evaporating

Fabulous news

Lovely venue. Saw Wakeman playing solo ( classical ) piano in there.

Great acoustics mind you it will be wasted with them lot 😂
Glad to hear about the acoustics. You do wonder with these non-standard designs whether it's more about aesthetics than practicality.

Sounds like the ideal venue for a band with their musical quality. I haven't heard the new album yet but I already know it's going to be my album of the year purely going by the songs that haven't made the cut. They've added matinees to 3 of the venues today so they should be well versed in playing the new songs by the time they get to Liverpool. Really looking forward to my trip up.;)
