I don’t know if you’ve been keeping abreast of things Pete , but if you want to pass your ticket on the recipient has to be a Forever Blue/Blue+ member and it’s done electronically. If I remember correctly though you’re old enough to apply for a physical ticket here

asap if I was you.

Thanks. Yes I was aware of that, but as the ST. didn’t give me any problems downloading I’ll stick with that. I’m sure family members will have the appropriate membership

He meets the family at his wife's family home in Worcester ,a few times a year and is still on talking terms .Which is nice for me as I don't know how Emily copes . He is lying in the sauna now on wooden pillows ,not as bad as they sound as they are sculpted / formed to a occipital shape .
Oh that's good to hear mate. The family meet ups I mean.👍

Probably not your cuppa Fred but John Smith, who I am a big fan of, is playing at St.Michael’s church in Aigburth on the Friday and Saturday nights after your gig.
Is that the Rick Wakeman gig or the TLDP one?. I'll be heading home the day after the latter.

What sort of artist/genre is John Smith.? Has he got any videos on YouTube you can link. I mean, I could Google John Smith but.....😀

Hello all. Another day another defeat. I'm not hopeful for the season. Your holiday looks lovely @Gwladysover. It is such a pretty part of England. I love the big skies.
Glad you got tickets @Barnfred 55 . You'll have a great time.
I'm also glad you got your meds sorted @Terrarian
I have some news to share with you all. Chris has been quite ill recently with digestive issues caused by his immunotherapy treatment. So after numerous tests the medics have decided that his immune system is so ramped up ( which is what immunotherapy does)it is attacking his pancreas and causing it not to produce an enzyme that breaks down fat in your diet. It can be controlled by meds. His oncologist has told him that she is quite happy to stop the immunotherapy because there has been no recurrence of the melanoma- most recurrence happen in the first 12 months. Chris is well past that point, he has had 7 out of 9 treatments so they are just going to monitor him- scans every few months. This is amazing. I am so happy and relieved in equal measures.

Oh, it’s the TLDP one.

He’s described himself as a bloke with a beard singing about his emotions

You could have just said "country" and that would have saved me having to listen to it. Only joking J. Not my bag but it's the sort of music that if it's a live artist in a bar you'll happily stop what you're doing to listen to it. I've actually got a lot more tolerant of country through my obsession with the TV series Yellowstone.

You know what, I probably would have gone to one of those nights had it been the weekend before. Music's always better live.

Great news Anj. If we can forget about Everton for a while everything seems good in the thread today.:)

Yeah I think I was quite lucky that I got mobile reception when I did and that the code that did come through first was the right one. My phone was pinging for a further 10 minutes with all the other codes I requested. Think Liverpool is sold out now. They all might be tbh. Feel sorry for those in the South East. Apparently there were 50,000 after 1800 tickets for the Kingston venue.

Well it's been an eventful morning. The girls recently announced a new album that is dropping around the time I'm up in Liverpool for the Rick Wakeman concert, and I've held off booking flights and accommodation in case they announced a record store tour to support the album. Well they did so yesterday and Liverpool is on the list with tickets on sale from 11am today. It's at the Grand Central Hall ( a venue I've wanted to attend since it reopened) too which has a decent capacity. It's the only gig in the North of England, but the band haven't made a full press announcement, just using it's own social media and mailing list, so obtaining tickets shouldn't be a problem. Or so I thought. I had to set up an account with a ticket company called Dice, who send a registration password via txt, and as some of you may know I don't have great mobile reception down here. To make matters worse, you only had 30 seconds to record the code before it expired (why do they do that?). I must have refreshed the page a countless times before I got a mobile reception and was able to complete the transaction. Phew.. I'm so pleased. Although I still feel I made the right decision at the time, I regret not seeing them last October, and this venue seems a lot more suitable with an upstairs balcony where I'll feel more comfortable. £24.50 including CD so can't argue with that. I'll need to stay in Liverpool a few more days than originally planned but I'm sure I'll find something to do. Sadly Everton are away at City the weekend I'm back otherwise I would have entered the lottery.
£24.50 is an absolute bargain- 👏

Grand Central Hall looks very classy as a concert venue but can’t say I have ever noticed it before on my meandering strolls.
