Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

My position on re-signing Michael Keane has been very clear, we shouldn't have done it. However, we did and, yes, if any two out of Branthwaite, O'Brien and Tarkowski are injured then that doofus will have to play. At the moment, because we are essentially forced into playing O'Brien at RB, we only need one of them to be injured to result in Keane or Patterson playing. Signing an actual RB fixes that problem, at least.
No my issue is if both centre backs are injured, like that are now. Without Keane that means who at centre back? Right back wouldn’t change that, unless you put Patterson in there with O’Brien….

I’m no big Kegger fan but he’s alright as a 4th choice, only becomes disastrous if one of the top 3 get a long term knock I agree.

So he's fine as long as he never plays?

Big sexy question for ya, meff heads...

Would you prefer us doing our business AT THE VERY END of the transfer window, writing off the first few games but the players we end up with were our #1 priority targets

OR

They start dishing out those cringey player announcement videos next week like there's no tomorrow, of #2 & #3 targets and we get all of our business done before we kick a ball in the new season?

Even though it's frustrating, I'd write off the first few games for #1 targets and think about the bigger picture (the next 2-3 seasons).

Mash potato.

I know this is the Everton transfer thread so we will have lots of differing views on it.
But I hope that those who constantly moan and give out in numerous posts hour after hour don't do the same in every other aspect of their lives or they must be incredibly miserable.
We all want Everton to do well. But really there's nothing we can do about it . Things could be an awful lot worse . Look at the likes of Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday.

People moan because we have disappointed and flattered to deceive for years.

“We all want Everton to do well”

Yes that’s right, so what’s the problem? They are not doing well so people are going to say so mate!

We are talking about a fan base that consists of hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of people, not everyone is going to think alike are they.

It’s like on Facebook and X, one fan says something negative and others over exaggerate that loads are doing it. The sensitivity from some of them is ridiculous and it’s obvious it’s comes from the fact we have not done well for years and dont want to hear it.

Then we have crap like “moan if we don’t sign players, moan when we do”. Well what if the individual “moaning” just happens to be disappointed it’s that certain player that has been signed.

Annoys me that we still push this big club stuff yet the mentality is far from it

I bet you if we do make some actual decent signings then the ones perceived as moaning or “cry arsing” will get stick , and for what? For wanting them to do that in the first k’n place!!

We've been down this road, and it always ends at the same place: running out of time and going with what we've got. That's not a gamble worth taking.

Sooo... all a little bit quiet hey.

Calm before the storm?

I reckon they just had a list of

Tete
Kubo
Fofana
McAtee
Luiz

Thought they'd all say yes. They've all said no and now they're screwed.

They've got no one else's contact details except DCL, Doucoure, Harrison and Mangala and are just working out when would be the right time to bring them back one by one.

He isn't, and I think we should be mitigating against the risk of disaster given the likelihood of injuries
