Don’t have a problem with anything he said or how he said it. Could argue it doesn’t paint a great picture when selling the club to a new player, but it would have been very confusing if he’d have come out, smiled and said we’ll be fine.

Frankly, its embarrassing flying over there so undercooked. Moyes almost having to be apologetic to the thousands of fans following the club around over there.

But, I can understand why we can’t get players in. Our lack of a follow up bid for Fofana being labelled loser-ish elsewhere. Pretty obvious the player has either said no thanks or they want to wait for a better opportunity. If he’d showed willing, a higher bid would have gone in the same day.

It is now time to panic, but it’s also time to only criticise things we know are true, rather than assume because we’ve only been linked to about 6 players, we have not looked anywhere else. Thats absurd.

I wish this feller would make some demands instead of bellyaching like that in a press conference.

How is he going to motivate anyone? Who'd be inspired by him?

And he was a snide there throwing a player - a new player - like Travers under the bus...another thing that Moyes has always done.

Honestly I've seldom seen a manager look so dejected ahead of a new season. Can't blame him like, I seriously doubt he's the one causing all our transfers to go tits up.

It's just what this feller does: he's trying to sell everyone that staying up should be seen as the primary objective of next season.

He's never been any different. Some said he was a different person after being away. I see the same old ways: blame others, expect the worst for the team, talk down the club as also rans in the PL era.

He should never have been handed this job again.

The owners and "exceptional operators" take the bulk of the blame, but Moyes is not the solution as manager we need.

Is there a chance Moyes will walk? We are a lick over 2 weeks away from the start of the season with the only signings being one who was already here, Krusty the Clown as back up goalkeeper, a kid at left back and Peter Crouch up top (I know Barry has only been here 5 mins but it makes my point).

I think Moyes envisaged a summer similar to Forest after they narrowly avoided relegation. Obviously not bringing in quite that many players but swooping for young promising talent like Gibbs-Whyte and Elanga etc.

It has been a shocking summer thus far.

He won’t walk, he’s not that manager or he’d have done it several times during his first spell

Not a chance. These are the situations Moyes enjoys: being able to build a case that survival is the objective.

He loves this. He's a pig in 💩 right now.

He’s not talked up survival at any stretch, he’s said countless times he wants to get us back where he left us, competing for Europe

But hey it could be worse, we could have Southgate in charge like someone advocated for eh Dave?

Funnily enough that was exactly your objective last year.

I'm sure he does, you're agenda against Moyes is getting tiresome, have a day off, I repeat Moyes doesn't sign the players or buy the players, all's he can do is convey he ain't happy with what's being done or the speed of process, he's done that repeatedly.

I am wondering if the new lot and him are on the same page?
He has been around long enough to know who will realistically come or not.
Wouldn't be surprised if he has less glamorous names he would want , while the ones upstairs want a few flash names to make there mark and are wasting there time and energy.
As it stands right now we are currently criminally understaffed.
We would need at least 5 or six through the door to even stand still.
The start of the season isnt looking good at the present time.
Expect to see a few less high profile players coming through the doors in the coming weeks.
This club just sucks the life out of you.

Safety was the only objective for Dave under the former manager, funny that.

He could walk. More likely he'll be pushed when the crap hits the fan in November. He'll know that, too. Hence, his demeanour.
