Match Thread Everton v West Ham. Wed 30th July. 23.30

Far too many players playing out of position.

Jake O'Brien moving to right back 2nd half because Patterson was woeful (O'Brien actually put in the only decent ball of the game)

Garner playing right back at one point amd was dreadful

Harrison spending large chunks just standing on the right side not knowing what to do

Tim constantly thinking he has all the time in the world on the ball and losing possession, again didn't seem to have a specific role

Mcneil absolutely woeful once again and just looks even worse every time hes on the right

Illy anonymous 2nd half and just isn't getting involved anywhere near enough

Barry looked like a fish out of water leading the line by himself

Charly anonymous

Keane with a couple of his usual howlers (in between those mistakes he actually done well, but the mistakes were just awful so can't be ignored)

Obvious that we need a right back, right winger, centre mid, then 1 more to play across the front positions with pace.

If Gueye gets injured we would be absolutely goosed because 2 out of Armstrong, Garner and Tim would simply get destroyed.

So many gaping holes in the squad, its alarming how disorganised we look and we look no closer to brining in the required quality and the required numbers

Travers, Patterson, Iroegbunam, Keane, Armstrong, and possibly Beto won’t be starting so that’s half the starting line up from yesterday.

Whoevers idea it was to go on a high profile US tour with this gang of shabite wants burying under a slab on Everton way. Done zilch for our club profile over there probably done more damage than good. We should of stuck with Moyes classic PNE and Wigan games.
Playing lower league Scottish teams more our level. Might get a draw against East fife.

I guess if I worked for a company and they kept saying we need some decent staff all the staff we have are crap I would feel pretty anoyed. Guess it goes one of 2 ways it can motivate you to do better or you down tools and think i dont care, it's basically the owners sh!t show and I have a nice solid well paid unsackable contract. Basically option 2 is what's happening at present at Everton.
Round and round in circles we go.

Yet there are people who will still have you believe it's all about minutes in the tank and we'll automatically hit the ground running come Leeds away.

We're ok when we have that foundation at the back of tarkowski/branthwaite and obrien at right back. We build off that.
Take that away and we're in a bit of trouble. Not a good sign that. It shows how limited we are elsewhere.
We'll need that foundation back for the start for the season.
