Match Thread Everton v West Ham. Wed 30th July. 23.30

Felt for Armstrong there.

18 years old and surrounded by dross, showed for the ball and unfortunately not much came off due to no support or senior players in hiding.

McNeil has stunk for a while
Gana sloppy
Back four is a mess without Jarrad and tarks
Charly clearly not on it

And stop the hoofball

Barry’s body language is off 🙁
TBF he was making a lot of good runs in behind but no one was looking at him. He needs to score that one though.

Watching him off the ball, he’s an instigator. He’ll get a defender sent off this season. He’ll probably be sent off himself as well. Beto is more of a gentle giant, Barry is a bit nasty.

Well, not a great result, but I thought we played OK in parts of the game, better than Bournemouth anyway. I think Armstrong looked good in the first half when we played him high up the pitch, but not so much in the second half when we played him deeper, in the middle.
Ndiaye was our best attacking threat, but couldn’t get his shots away.
Alcaraz looked rusty, had two good opportunities but his shooting was poor.

Really no good points to this game. Moyes included. Drives me up the wall how we keep trying to play the ball through our worst players.

Ndiaye on the left? Nah, keep passing it to McNeil on the right so he can pass it straight back and force his fullback to lob it forward to no one.

Finally brought Heath on? Nah, pass it to Chermiti who's out of position and out of depth on the left.

Sleep walking to trouble again.
With no grand old lady to rely on either…BM could be an albatross round our necks

He wasn’t very good himself. Physically he may not be ready to play in a two man midfield.
