Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this warm one again! We both are looking forward to a rainy day to go for a walk . At 76 I seem to be getting smarter as I never stayed up for the match it was of course two hours later for us so 11.30 start . I think Jake needs Tarks next to him as he is still learning and Keano was Keano again .It is unfair for me to judge having not watched the whole game . I hope all are well and had a good night's sleep waking to a splendid day .
We are of to the shops with Matt in tow and the wife is tense already ,he loves to look around second hand shops to see how the locals live and what they use / throw away ,the problem starts when he picks up nearly everything to scrutinise and put back and then goes back on some to do it again .We are both a bit more get it done types and our shopping is organised and fast so this is torture for the missus ,me I love him so I am used to it .
We are having a good time together as I just want him to relax and he is certainly doing that ! If I have to get him another glass of water !!!
The no sugar thing hasn't been a problem which has been a relief so other than not eating tomatoes and cucumber raw it has all gone down well -literally . I have cajoled him into the logs stacking and we have been mushroom picking so I am getting some fresh air into his lungs .Most of all he is doing well and it shows in his demeanour and also physically ,long may it continue .
Have a great day all ,COYB

Well it's been an eventful morning. The girls recently announced a new album that is dropping around the time I'm up in Liverpool for the Rick Wakeman concert, and I've held off booking flights and accommodation in case they announced a record store tour to support the album. Well they did so yesterday and Liverpool is on the list with tickets on sale from 11am today. It's at the Grand Central Hall ( a venue I've wanted to attend since it reopened) too which has a decent capacity. It's the only gig in the North of England, but the band haven't made a full press announcement, just using it's own social media and mailing list, so obtaining tickets shouldn't be a problem. Or so I thought. I had to set up an account with a ticket company called Dice, who send a registration password via txt, and as some of you may know I don't have great mobile reception down here. To make matters worse, you only had 30 seconds to record the code before it expired (why do they do that?). I must have refreshed the page a countless times before I got a mobile reception and was able to complete the transaction. Phew.. I'm so pleased. Although I still feel I made the right decision at the time, I regret not seeing them last October, and this venue seems a lot more suitable with an upstairs balcony where I'll feel more comfortable. £24.50 including CD so can't argue with that. I'll need to stay in Liverpool a few more days than originally planned but I'm sure I'll find something to do. Sadly Everton are away at City the weekend I'm back otherwise I would have entered the lottery.

So pleased things are going well with Matt. Do you think there's a chance he might get back down here again to see his kids, or is that a step too far at this stage?

I'm not dealing with the Dr, you have to go through the prescription team, the email pissed me off, it came across as very rude. I have to wait for a reply, you can't phone them they've turned it off, email is the only way. I asked for an alternative and I don't even know if they have the authority to prescribe me one. Face to face appointments are far too long a wait.

I've really felt benefit off these tablets and fed up that as usual nothing is ever straight forward, I get stressed and I don't function properly when stressed and certainly can't deal with stuff like this as I want to throttle them.
Nothing's ever straightforward is it mate. But really happy you've finally found something that takes the edge off the pain T. You can really see the difference in your posting.

Got my ST today. I don’t use Apple Pay or Apple wallet so I was a bit nervous about it loading. In the event it loaded into Apple wallet in a matter of seconds, so I won’t need to apply for a physical card afterall… one less thing to worry about……
I never knew you were a ST holder Pete. I just assumed you were a long distance armchair fan like me.

Afternoon everyone. Been taking advantage of the free bus pass again today. There is a really good service which calls in at villages and towns on the North Norfolk coast. It’s a bit of a white knuckle ride as it winds its way down narrow country lanes and village streets which are barely wide enough for one car, let alone a bus and a car/van trying to pass each other. It’s a very tight squeeze in places. We went to Cley-next-the-Sea which sits on the edge of a salt marsh and is some way off the sea. Here’s a couple of pics.

I'm fairly sure that the windmill is or was a B&B.
I remember seeing it featured on the front cover of a guide book and me and Mrs J always wanted to stay there but never got around to it.

Well I’m going to try to stay awake for the game tonight. I have my supplies (Guiness zero and cheese and onion crisps šŸ˜‚). Let’s see how it goes as I’m usually in bed at half ten.
I’m not keen on Moyes’ honesty at the moment however admirable. I just think it gives a bad message to anyone thinking of coming to us - it’s like the good players won’t come so you’ll do. Let’s hope there are guys out there who want to prove themselves in the premier league. That would lessen if grealish came but will he really?
Enjoy the game if you’re watching too šŸ’™
Well that was crap....again. All the hope of moving into the new stadium with a hungry young team is quickly evaporating.

I was a ST holder for years but work had to come first so I gave it up and just went onto the waiting list. Anyway with the new ground and being near the top of the list I decided to take up the opportunity again. It’s going to be difficult with looking after Kay but my son and daughter will help me through this. Of course there will be games that I cannot make, evening and early start games, so I’ll pass it on to family members in Liverpool for these games……

Probably not your cuppa Fred but John Smith, who I am a big fan of, is playing at St.Michael’s church in Aigburth on the Friday and Saturday nights after your gig.

I don’t know if you’ve been keeping abreast of things Pete , but if you want to pass your ticket on the recipient has to be a Forever Blue/Blue+ member and it’s done electronically. If I remember correctly though you’re old enough to apply for a physical ticket here

asap if I was you.

He meets the family at his wife's family home in Worcester ,a few times a year and is still on talking terms .Which is nice for me as I don't know how Emily copes . He is lying in the sauna now on wooden pillows ,not as bad as they sound as they are sculpted / formed to a occipital shape .
