Transfer Rumour Malick Fofana

The Newcastle comparison is a fair benchmark. Everton are moaning how hard it is to buy players, yet when Newcastle’s takeover went through in January 22 they were deep in relegation trouble and still managed to bring in Bruno Guimaraes, Trippier, Wood and Burn. We are starting from a far better point and finding it seemingly challenging to bring players in.
Bruno they paid big money and big wages,
Trippier was available as he was on big wages and atleti saw a chance to get their money back with a younger prospect coming in...
Wood was a release clause job to weaken a relegation rival,
And burn was a feelgood story, overpaying for a local lad who could do a job..

Wood & Burn decent pickups - but c'mon mate Bruno & Trippier were brought in for mega money/wages which we clearly won't entertain right now..
Why not? We just sold the womens team and it is unclear if goodison park is included or not which could make that transaction a very significant one indeed. A conservative estimation is 60 millions...now if TFG dont want to spend the money then that's fine. But we should have now a significant amount of money we could spend...get 2 or 3 young super stars and a few squad fillers and at least we can then aim for mid table upwards...

Whilst im sure he wants a CL side, if none of them bid for him, he will maybe have to lower his aims and just settle for tripling his wages and slumming it at Everton.

Until he signs for somebody else, hes available and achievable.

He might, god forbid, have to wait 2 years to move to a Champions League club at the crusty old age of 22. How can he be expected to LIVE LIKE THIS?!? 🥺💔

Even if he wanted to force a move it wouldn't happen unless Lyons valuation is met.
This is true... but we are about £2M off their valuation. It's not like we are far off, and they are mega skint. So skint in fact, I hear its not their call what offer is accepted. They have to sell players, and our offer is a very strong offer, so if he wanted the move, they could work it out.
