Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It's why I've been like a stuck record saying if it was my club, I'd have kept Thelwell/Purdy an give them a go with money. I worry TFG have tried to do too much, too soon.
It may have been that they had to choose between Thelwell and Moyes and saw sacking the manager a bigger issue than just letting DoF's contract run out. And I base this on the rumours of players Thelwell apparently had lined up that Moyes turned down. Moyes is known not to like the DoF model.

Not at the end of thr thread yet so you may have had other replies. Players will have the biggest say in their future but agents have to play a big part in directing their clients and possibly away from clubs that would be ideal for them even without my blue tinted specs on. In years gibe by we could throw them a few extra quid but we arnt likeky to do that anymore I would imagine. Good or bad we sat our limits, hence some hurdles that will not ne overcome easily, if at all.

We'll see in thd coming days whether it will be a balance between waiting for some targets or moving on from any stalled deals to other targets.
Ys, I am still very optimistic.

So he had been available for almost two months and yet Harrison played instead of him.

Yes because he clearly wasn't fully fit? We saw that from his cameos - he was well off it. Unless you think Moyes picks a fit Harrison over a fit McNeil? Bold opinion.

I don't know who you are but honestly you haven't got it in you to battle me on here.

Moyes will have had a major say in the targets this window.

He continues to do so.

Not sure whose fault this is but his own.
Is the whole transfer team hammond turned down hartman who is a lb at burnley now because of his wage demands. To blame just moyes is crazy is all of them have to be called out not just the manager.

To be fair, I understand more the people losing their composure than I do the people claiming we've got this/acting like Man Utd fans were with INEOS.

I've no confidence in Everton's new recruitment team until they give a reason to be.

So far, they've failed to bring in players to give adequate pre-season.

Let's see where we are come the first game of the

Aye, I'm very much just waiting and seeing. We've been a mess for so long, selling our offer to players is going to be a grind. We don't have Ancelotti's aura or Martinez' bull to get them in anymore.

But the idea was always to replace these players wasn’t it? Like I’m sure it doesn’t need explaining that, when people said they wanted Doucoure and Harrison out they meant actually bring in upgrades on them? Not that we should or could afford to literally let them walk out and bring in nobody
I honestly wasn't arsed in the slightest if either of these were 'replaced' based purely on their net contributions last season

What has been evident for absolutely ages now is that we've really needed a quality right-sided forward at the club, completely regardless of the presences of Jack Harrison & Abdoulaye Doucoure...

If City have high hopes for McAtee just accept a sell-on clause of like 25% of any profit we make over £25m and let them stick some additional add-ons in there that trigger additional payments if we qualify for Champions League, if he represents England, if he wins player of the season, etc.

Like when bill would bid for players 50m

2m upfront and 500k for the next 5 years with 10m if we win the CL and a further 30m if Everton win the Copa America

I do think Moyes might do that. McNeil is also useless on the right side but at least that's Harrison's position.

But I see you are one of the tough keyboard warriors.

Many of these on this thread unfortunately.... seem to think they are bigger and better than others..... best using the ignore features. Honestly, it will help and not have to waste any energy!
