2024/25 David Moyes

Moyes saying we should be a lot further down the line and the CEO saying we are “on track”. Which one is it? What’s actually going on at this club, it seems completely dysfunctional.
I believe they're both using a train as an analogy. The CEO is saying that the train "is on track" because he's secretly from Yorkshire. He means "the train is on the track" I.E. the train hasn't fallen over YET.

Whilst Moyes is also correct, we should be near Euston by now, but we're stuck at Crewe due to delays. We've let people depart the train, but we haven't yet picked up all new passengers from all locations.

As with all trains, except to arrive late and disappointed. But stop moaning, at least we got there in the end. (January sales)

I appreciate his minder.

They even look alike.

christ sake give up with half of you

on nearly every thread it’s kick in the balls optimism

let’s ask moshri to come back and dyche and his 2 goons

Matty once we have signed some players who improve our starting 11 people will be happy, we haven’t done that yet.

So instead of asking people to believe in the tooth fairy question the club

That’s the most downbeat I’ve seen Moyes since he arrived.
It’s a bit of a reality check on how the club is perceived - we’re just a bottom half premier league club.

“My first thought was ‘yes, I was surprised’ because Everton is such a big club. Great traditions, what the club has stood for over the years, the new stadium is an exciting new move for us. But then you have another thought and you think again — we have been around the relegation positions the last five years and not far off the bottom.”

We all need to manage our expectations on the number and quality of new signings.
Disappointing but that’s the reality.

The ostriches won’t like this but maybe the so called bed-wetters were right all along…

Sorry, that just won’t wash. If we’re going into August only just finding out that none of our targets want to join us then it’s quite clear that we don’t know what we’re doing.

5 more signings in the next 2 weeks please.
