Spot on. Original 93.6m 6 year contract with 31.2m approx base salary remaining Somebody is going to have to budge on the financials or few if any clubs are taking that on. And city will hsve approx 40m book value to consider as well. It's a pricey and complex deal to do whichever way you look at it.

Which is exactly why we shouldn't even have it in our thinking when doing other deals, come late August can revisit if needed.

On a serious note yes we do need to take some risks but quite like the idea of this one if it comes off.

My favourite is always the bot when some poster says "it's a no for me" in relation to a player

I have to say I am very disappointed to see that the interest in Hackney seems to have disappeared, in my opinion he is a very good player very good passer of the ball and can score goals.
