According to The Guardian - Notts Forest bid £20m +£5m add-ons for McAtee - my personal opinion is £30m + £5 add-ons might be acceptable and if we’re still interested that’s a bid we need to make.

If both us and forest have bids accepted he will choose us - bigger club (and he knows this due to family) can stay near his family and forest will likely shunt him wide we can offer him a central role.

How long left on a contract means absolutely squat if some other club ignores that as a factor when bidding, if under a normal length contract you value a player as worth say 30m then refusing to go above 20 cos he has one year left whilst another club buys him for 25 say is absolutely idiotic logic.
