Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Adam Aznou has now completed his medical at Pall Mall in Liverpool and is now expected to sign contracts this afternoon and do signing photos/interviews etc at HD stadium.

Official club announcement could come as early at tonight but more than likely tomorrow morning.

He will to fly to Atlanta from Manchester airport tomorrow and be involved in Sundays game vs Manchester Utd..
And the next one through the door is?

Then we have 24 hrs to get some positive momentum into the process or get busy PR managing back page headlines about match results and the effect on incoming transfers.
Mate it’s a friendly. Everton friendly results aren’t making the back pages of any paper during a transfer window.

What you mean is that you want Everton to get busy because you’ve got a cob on, and you’ll be even more insufferable if we lose. Which is fine, by the way, but let’s just not pretend that Everton not progressing deals as quickly as we’d like and potentially losing a meaningless game - two things which are almost entirely unconnected btw - is national news.

Where are we struggling to compete?
They've made a sub-expectant offer for McAtee, we haven't.
I do not think we are struggling to compete, but we will have a better idea when the transfer window closes.
We do not know what has been offered or by whom, 99% of info on here is guesswork (or fantasy).
Basically as someone else has mentioned it appears possible we have established a figure that we will pay (transfer & salary) for our targets and that is the limit. A much better way to run the club, and if it is the case the various agents will soon know the score and learn that it is just not worth trying to get unrealistic money for their clients.

Just over 2 weeks until the season starts on the 15th August.

I assume players have to be registered before the 15th August to be eligible for the first round of games.

It will take something special to sign the players we need in that time.
