Agree, I wouldn't pay much more than £25-30m, I'm a little surprised that the Forest bid has been rejected.

They were quoting 40mil last week...

They've got absolutely no chance.

Paul Power, Alan Harper and Kevin Richardson spring to mind.

Mind you a utility player was absolutely essential when you could only use one sub.

Those type of players would be stars in our currant set up - In fact Richardson was kept out by Sheedy & transferred to Arsenal & won a title playing for them - he was a great midfielder , but hard for him to displace Sheedy - that's how great we were !

McAtee looks like a lad with good potential but anything over £30m for a player in the last year of their contract, especially one that has never been a key player for their side, is veering into overpay territory.

Too much that, especially considering this is his last year and it's clear as anything that City won't be giving him a new contract..

£27/28m plus add-ons would be the furthest I'd go personally. Just don't think the fee should be breaking £30m at the outset.
