Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Grealish and fofana along with ndiaye and mcneil...left side gonna be well sorted....but, is mcatee the solution for right winger?
Personally rather grealish, mcatee and kubo...far more balance

If that's the case mate, McNeill will be sold - great left peg, runs around a lot, right leg for standing on only! - We can certainly hope

Luiz and Grealo revolutionise this side. That said, I'd only be keen for Jack G on a loan because of his salary. Get him in and try and get us into Europe next season. If we achieve that, we'll be a much more attractive proposition to new, younger and much cheaper alternatives.

I like this, we could make a song with Dexys Midnight runners smash hit Geno.

Before Jimmy's Machine and The Rocksteady Rub Oh-oh-oh Geano
Before Moyseys machine down at Bramley moore dock Oh-oh-oh Grealo

I’m sticking by my stance that Maitland-Piles is simply another body without enhancing the 1st eleven. The lads a failed midfielder, converted to full back, so he’s not even specialised in a role. We need a bonafide, ready made, offensive fullback, not some football raggy doll.

We're gonna need two right backs over the next few windows. Patterson might get sold, Coleman will retire after this season I reckon and JOB should be moving to his proper position with Tarky getting older.

It's possible we bring in AMN this summer as a nice sqaud filler then next summer go big on a young expensive right back and AMN becomes the back up.

We can't solve every position permanently this summer.

Maitland-Niles would just be a squad filler type signing and not a good first team quality one, if we are considering him for RB. Here is his last year underlying stats compared to Patterson in 23/24 who is a player that is regularly berated on here. I don't see a player in AMN that makes me want to go all out to get them.

This is not me advocating that we should keep Patterson for the first team either! I think we need a new RB, i just don't think AMN is the answer.

I’m with you on that we can’t solve for every position this window, but we can and absolutely must, solve for an adequate right back this window. We have wasted far too many windows without bringing in a suitable right back. This is a priority for this window, not future windows. Squad fillers can be brought in for elsewhere, but right back should be absolutely top of the list alongside right wing. We transform this team if we can transform the right hand side.

You need these players.

You need a squad, you need versatility.

If we can get him on a low fee it will be decent business.

AMN would for the right fee be a very good pick-up. It makes us stronger in 2 positions straight off, right back and that allows O'Brien to move central so strengthens us there too as it means Keane is now 4th choice.

Still think the timing is interesting also. That'd be two players brought in who've played at Lyon with Fofana, and opens up the possibility of the AMN deal being over inflated in order to reduce the Fofana fee which Lyon owe Genk a pretty big sell on % on.
