Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I remember watching him in PL and wanting to sign him. He's not exactly over the hill and starting for a decent team so safe to assume he hasn't massively dropped off. Didn't call anyone stupid not sure why you have made that up.
It’s all opinions. For me, the Maitland niles who left England would not be a clear upgrade for us at all, but I’m very much open to the idea that he may have improved since then as somebody has suggested. Apologies, you said people who don’t agree with you needed a reality check, not that they were stupid. Very much the same principle I the context of the conversation obviously, but happy to correct myself.

We have semi competent options at right back, that’s kind of the point. I was hoping we might sign a genuinely good right back. Similar to walker peters for me, he’d be a decent signing on the right terms in the sense that he gives you a bit of depth in different positions, but we’ve needed a proper right back for about 6-7 years and if we’ve decided that he’s the solution to that issue it’s extremely underwhelming.

How about if the situation is us taking him.in order to facilitate a deal with Fofana in order they can avoid a big sell on %?

We haven’t scored goals cos Sean dyche has been in charge

Lots of attacking players have been targeted and chose to go elsewhere

It's the controversy, when you've been a low scoring team several seasons before Dyche and get a manager that's known for a low scoring record.

But it really hurt when Elanga picked Forest over us as apparently reported.

I mean it wouldn’t be ideal to do that just for the sake of it, but I should clarify that me saying ‘I’m not sure what he gives us that we haven’t got’ appears to have been taken the wrong way by a lot of people. I’m not saying he’s awful and would be the worst signing we could possibly make, just that the lad who played for Arsenal, West Brom, Southampton, and by all accounts Roma was not a particularly good player and was very much in the same bracket as the keanes, Harrisons, doucoures and garners of the world who people say they want to move on from. I haven’t seen him at Lyon and @Dwight K Schrute posted some good stuff about his time there which would make me reassess it a bit, but I totally stand by saying if he plays here like he has in the rest of his PL career people will absolutely slate him.
