He didn’t he had some issue with the fans and a few brain farts. I can’t remember if it was the World Cup or the Euros but he was one of the best midfielders in that tournament and absolutely schooled the England midfield. He’s a very talented player and would be our best midfielder by a mile assuming his legs still work.
Sunderland are a big club in all fairness, bit like us they've been chronically mismanaged so have potential to go up the ladder with the right leadership
Don’t get me wrong - I think he’s a quality player, could be a masterstroke for Sunderland. If we hadn’t resigned Gana I’d have been all for it, although I reckon his wages probably way more than gana’s.
Rate the lad but seems a high price for him, hopefully get for something like the barry deal that ends up at the price they want.

I wish someone would give him a training top that wasn't as 'clingy'.....needs a more 'relaxed' fit, especially around all these athletesI went back and watched the club interview with Moyes after the Bournemouth friendly. He did not look flustered or distressed as some people on here stated. He was very calm and accepting of the situation, while just emphasizing that significant recruitment is still needed but didn't look panicked . He also looked like a 60 year old man who spent two hours getting baked in 80 degree Fahrenheit weather
