Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Sunderland have brought in seven new pjsyers this window!

Would you be happy if this was our collective business and what we paid for said players?

I mean, some of them might indeed pan out, but on paper its not that impressive. I like young players, but you have two 20 year olds from the belgian league. Expecting ANY real contribution from that massive jump up(at their age) is very optimistic. Mandava hasnt been a starter for years. Adingra and Diarra are probably the competent ones they got, and I think theyd need at least 3 more GOOD signings to chance staying up.

Will point out that we are wetting ourselves about signing a player who Lyon signed at 18-19 from the Belgium league

I'd hope we can bring in better but for a newly promoted side I think that's pretty decent business personally. Saying Xhaka isn't competent is a very strange take, i'd have taken him here on the right deal.

Not heard this before?🍿
Yeah it was in an article I read somewhere. Apparently Bellingham is the big 'I Am' behind the scenes and acts like a self entitled whopper. Apparently Henderson is his buddy so he was called up to keep Bellingham in check as the other players are sick of his attitude. Really can't remember where I read it but I'm certain I didn't dream it

As they havent signed him yet, hes the same as Aznou. If I included Aznou on any signed players list for us I would never hear the end of it on here.

And Im not even saying the young players wont be good business in the long term, but youth and inexperience dont help you survive your first PL season. It does not help Sunderland if they are great in year 2 and 3. They need them to be great week 1.

You can include Aznou mate, they are just waiting to do the unveil announcement in the US when he arrives over
