Everton Ticketing Changes

I mean the whole point of the stadium was to increase revenue. If you weren’t sure where that would come from, go look in the mirror for details.
Yeah, totally expected it. Every decision they've made pointed towards it. Just wish I could work out how much they actually want to fleece me for 😂.

Will call the club later and see if they can clarify!

Season Tickets will be next. I think my mate paid somewhere in the region of £700 for Upper East. They're asking £1,235 from members (based on all games being Cat C as well) for the same seat. I reckon they'll be looking for more like £800-£850 next year for the season ticket.

I mean, I get that. And I expected prices in the £60s which I’m fortunate to be able to afford. It’s just disappointing for the sport that it’s pricing people out by the fact having limited “affordable” seats implies the rest isn’t affordable.
There is also the need to get a fine balance of not under cutting season ticket holders too though.

I agree the prices are a joke, but I would expect it to be a good few seasons before we started to see a significant number of empty seats due to bad performances.

Football seems to be more popular than ever and the clubs and owners know this and are happy exploiting fan loyalty. Not just Everton but at nearly every club. They know they've got leverage on us all because with so many thousands not even able to get tickets each week, anyone who takes a stand and doesn't go will be easily replaced by another fan willing to pay.

Look at the demand at West Ham, they even hate their new stadium but have been selling over 60K tickets each season. Be interesting to see how long it takes them to start staying away. I suspect it won't be too far off as they did recently get the European Trophy and a couple of top 7 finishes to delay the fan unrest.
Wait until we're playing Fulham on a grim Monday night in January and out of both cups.

There is someone in a big office at every club that can’t accept that people are being priced out of going to the game if the stadium is always full. The club has held firm better than most, but I guess the move was always going to be the tipping point, when all prices for all seats were being re-evaluated in those offices.
This is why they never wanted to take a Goodison redevelopment seriously: they knew hiking the prices to these levels would be a lot harder to die than to do it in a new facility where they can start to change the culture.

Everton will be gone soon. The one we knew. Half the support base in the city will be excluded and the other half will get the piss taken out of them.

I agree. With top priced tickets being £70, no way the difference between ST and paying match by match won't be closed up reasonably rapidly.

There's people in our Facebook group saying they've being charged £ to enter the ballot?
