Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I went back and watched the club interview with Moyes after the Bournemouth friendly. He did not look flustered or distressed as some people on here stated. He was very calm and accepting of the situation, while just emphasizing that significant recruitment is still needed but didn't look panicked . He also looked like a 60 year old man who spent two hours getting baked in 80 degree Fahrenheit weather 😂
A Ginger Scottish 60 year old,to boot.

IF Fofana comes - and that is highly unlikely- a deal would be weeks away. He is hanging on to see if a CL club comes in for him. If not, and if we match Lyon's asking price, I imagine we'll get the all clear for him to come. But there are too many variables in that scenario.
Actually think it would be less time think esp with clubs like bayern rs napoli maybe i think linked going for other players. Think we will bid again this week

There's still time to get us a proper team for the new season..wishful thinking?

We need a squad and having multiple options is essential if we ever want to improve. Competition and squad options for rotation are crucial.

We play 3 along the line behind the striker so you really would want 5 good options to cover injuries and to create meaningful competition. Being able to leave good players out is something we should want and not something to be concerned about.

As it stands, our team basically picks itself because its so far short of quality and numbers.
Absolutely and I think these days you ideally want to use at least 5 per game across those three positions for freshness and tactical variety.

I think what is / isn’t the best XI makes for a good debate but when the games actually come along it’s a bit academic because it’s a 16 player game. The more options and competition the better.
