Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

When you take a step back and reflect on everything from the past few days —

Transfers happening (Aznou), bids going in (Fofana), Moyes finally speaking publicly after weeks of silence, and rumours suggesting this week will be the start of real movement — it all feels… choreographed.

Not necessarily planned in a strict sense, but I’d be fairly confident the club has told several of our targets that we need answers by the start of August or we’ll move on. Everything mentioned above seems to align with that kind of deadline.

Here’s hoping anyway.
I think the reality is they had to address it at some point, they were quite clear that they wanted to bring a load of players in and it just hasn't happened, it would have been a brave strategy to just completely ignore the massive elephant in the room. I'd guess that the Kinnear interview and convenient leaks were because they knew Moyes was going to say something like he said as soon as he was given the chance to and they wanted to mitigate it.

Must admit I'm not struck on fellows, got the feeling he'd be a bit slow on the wing in this league, also seems a bit of a one trick pony - limited viewing caveat.

Soucek is just worry that west ham will want silly money for his age, plus he's best as a more attacking mid and we badly need someone to be able to sit and dictate

Fellows I like as a back up / dev / other option to Kubo could be great - BUT I do see us bringing in Harrison as back up to any Right winger.

£12 mill ish for Soucek sounds gerat to be in todays financial landscape - He would improve us massivley IMO, and would sit nicely next to Gana, with Alcaraz / McAtee ahead of him.

I would like us to get the lad from Boro too, he looks promising in the eeper / 6 role.

Be quite excited about that, with Kubo, Ndiaye, McNeil also options.

Remember to open the curtains and leave the house for a bit today people, if you’re physically able to of course. Maybe, you could even have a civil exchange with another actual human being if you can manage it.
It’s probably helpful to remember that Everton’s success or failure in the transfer market is not intrinsically linked to you refreshing this page.
Take care out there everyone.

Aznou, Fofana and Luiz this week would make things look a lot better..... these are 3 people who would walk into the side and add some pace, control and quality to the side.

Still would love a RB allowing JOB to drop into the center or be back up for his natural role, but can see us going into the season with him as 1st choice RB after the end of last season. Just means we are one injury away from seeing Keane or Patto.
