Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

My sauces are telling me that Nick Hammond and his team have been on the blower all morning with Manchester City, Juventus & Olympique Lyonnais thrashing out official bids and payment terms with 3-4 players being discussed.

No plans to speak to WBA or Real Sociedad as things stand
The fact you've spelt "Sources" "Sauces" has me wondering if you're telling the truth.

When you take a step back and reflect on everything from the past few days —

Transfers happening (Aznou), bids going in (Fofana), Moyes finally speaking publicly after weeks of silence, and rumours suggesting this week will be the start of real movement — it all feels… choreographed.

Not necessarily planned in a strict sense, but I’d be fairly confident the club has told several of our targets that we need answers by the start of August or we’ll move on. Everything mentioned above seems to align with that kind of deadline.

Here’s hoping anyway.

I feel like Douglas Luiz will come and immediately get injured after slide tackling and injuring Fofana. Then we will have to play Jarrad as a winger and we will get injured tackling their centerback and we will be relegated.

Just a gut feeling.
I would take that at this stage TBH because at least the sheets would be dry for a couple of weeks.

That Moyes interview was grim reading - if good players don’t want to join us and we have a paper thin squad it’s gonna be a grim season
When he mentioned players rejecting our advances it pertained to elite players that either are playing in European competitions or had the intent to, as we've been more ambitious this window and he was just referring to the Pitfalls of trying to recruit higher tier players in the current environment, not that every player was snubbing us

Can’t see us getting both Fofana and Kubo.

If we brought in Luiz McAtee and Fofana that would be brilliant.

Pickford

OBrien Tarkwoski Branthwaite Aznou

Gana Luiz

Fofana Mcatee Ndiaye

Barry

Must admit I'm not struck on fellows, got the feeling he'd be a bit slow on the wing in this league, also seems a bit of a one trick pony - limited viewing caveat.

Soucek is just worry that west ham will want silly money for his age, plus he's best as a more attacking mid and we badly need someone to be able to sit and dictate
He is a crap Fellaini, dont want him here.

We can do a lot better than him.

Oh Kinnear, Moyes and Pickford all essentially coming out with stuff does smack of it being choreographed - Pickford never would have come out with that I don't believe unless given the go ahead.
